“ This little gem is simply AMAZING. The staff was so friendly it's like you went home to your mom's house. The food so delicious. I would 10000% recommend going. I will definitely be back every time I go to KC. ”
“ Such a neat place nothing like what you’re used to. The atmosphere was cool with the old inside of a log cabin and how none of the floors are even. The fried chicken was good nothing super special personally for me. The side were good as well but the favorite for us was the cinnamon roll. ”
“ We had over 20 people in the restaurant tonight and we had an absolutely wonderful experience. The food was excellent. The service was absolutely top tier. And we had a Great time as a family. We were seated right away and the service began immediately. Everything was hot, flavorful, and very very plentiful. You never go away hungry from Stroud's. Again, our server was wonderful. She may remember us perhaps but we certainly are thankful for her. Thank you from the pastor Darren Tharp family. ”
“ A slice of heaven, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of city life. It's akin to my great grandma's house but somehow more inviting. No time was spared seating us, the atmosphere had an immediate calming effect as we were led to a den that overlooked a duck pond. I could go on about how amazing the food is from here but that wouldn't do the service justice. Stacy made the experience, giving us expert advice, witty conversation, and an inviting attitude. She accommodated things we didn't even know we needed. The manager then came to see that our request for eight orders of gizzards to go was legitimate and after our three course meal with five star service, we left feeling whole. Thank you Stroud's Oak Ridge Manor and thank you Stacy for your passion and professionalism. P. S. The whiskey prices are noteworthy ”
“ Stroud's is worth the wait! Don't let the long wait for a table deter you. This fried chicken is the best as it is pan fried. Tasty homemade chicken noodle soup, cinnamon rolls, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans and all cuts of chicken are all worth trying! The historic charm of this location dates back to the 1800's. ”
“ This was a wonderful place to eat! The food was amazing, the service was magnificent and the atmosphere was like having Sunday dinner at my grandma's! So glad we decided to eat here! ”
“ Visited for a group dinner. Sat quickly. The staff understandably want to make sure the whole party is there before seating the group. Once seated the wait-staff are extremely friendly. Quick to take your order and make your experience the best they can. With the restaurant location also in a historical location just adds to the experience. The breading and preparation on the chicken was excellent. Your meal paired with your choice of potato and green beans. The green beans are fantastic and tying off the meal with their cinnamon rolls is perfect. You may feel full, but once those cinnamon rolls show up, you will have room for one or two at the least. Pricing is great to be able to bring the whole family and enjoy the family style serving and everyone can leave full and happy. ”
“ First time checking this place out. It didn't disappoint . Loved the property. To the geese in the pond to the cats on the roof it had that relic touch. Food was delicious. I had the chicken fried chicken. It was tender and that gravy was amazing. The mash potatoes and green beans were both good. My daughter had the chicken dinner. She loved the chicken. The chicken noodle soup was also very good. The cinnamon bread was warm and tasty. Overall a great experience. Can't wait to return. ”
